Founded on the principles of creativity, professionalism, and technical excellence, Devil Horse is a collective of musical entertainers based in McAlester, Oklahoma. We have been committed to providing exceptional sound services across all platforms for a significant period of time.

Our lead singer, Kat has been a performer since childhood. Participating in the church choir and plays, which later lead to performing in her local community theater, school drama class, and honor choir program for 6 years. Kat also participated in honor band for 4 years playing instruments such as, trombone and tuba. 

Our guitarist, Kent has been an avid musical devotee and genius his whole life. He can play any instrument you place in his hand. Ranging from, guitar, bass, drums, piano, violin, banjo, and more. He is very musically inclined, including in vocals. He has played with several home-grown bands though never professionally. 

Alexa Whitney, our main bass player has been playing for many years. She can also play guitar and sing vocals. She's very talented and hard-working and has played in many home-grown bands as well. Some of which did play professionally in the Oklahoma area. Alexa Whitney can also play piano, flute, and clarinet. 

Alexandar,  plays bass as well in the band as well as does some vocals. Alex has been in the performance industry for most of his life including, band playing the trombone and tuba, as well as his schools Orchestra playing, you guessed it, bass. Alexandar has been singing and "screaming" for the majority of his life and has taken up some acting roles as of recently. 

Steve Wanty, our Lead Guitarist, has been playing guitar for about 30 years, acoustic exclusively until very recently. He has written about 14 original songs, and released 6 with previous bands.

"Music has a unique way of connecting to people on an emotional level, as the length of most songs is easily associated with activities associated with nostalgia. I want people to feel the music just as much as I want them to listen to it, so many of my favorite guitarists do that, like David Gilmore, Adam Jones, and James Hetfield."

Steve works in healthcare as a Supply Chain Director, and is looking at earning a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in the near future.

Steven Shaffer, our drummer, is a seasoned drummer with previous band and performance experience. He mostly enjoys playing various genres of Rock and country but is open to anything. In his free time Steven works works works works works works like Rhianna and does the dad things. He also likes long, brisk walks along the beach on a cool Fall day, as well as frolicking through the flowers for hours.
